Nessa walked down the long path to Hogsmeade. She had started right when the sun was setting, and now it was almost all the way set. She had seen all the people looking at her, because she was going the opposite way of most of the people. Most of them were heading back probably to go to Hogwarts or somewhere else. But Nessa was in no mood to visit the castle. She felt a tear roll down her face. Running her mascara a little. She then slid onto a bench.
Nessa had taken a picture of her and Brayden with her. The whole reason for this whole trip to Hogsmeade, was for her to be alone with herself. Well she at least did not want anyone she knew to still be there. Her mascara stained cheek was yet getting wetter and wetter, with more tears. Did she always have to cry.
After the break up from her and Brayden, Nessa had been a lot more closed with her feelings, and had only talked to people she knew. She kept most of herself only to her. Now whenever she talked to some one new, she just would only let a bit of herself show to them. This was a new life for Nessa.

Out of all the places that Oliver had planned to explore, Hogsmeade was the one he picked for today. He did not know why but he just did. Ollie knew that there aren't that much place to go to, at least on the streets. He knew that there are stores around like some joke shop or something or some candy shop around but Ollie did not know where the stores are located. He'd only been to the Shrieking Shack; the closest place he could think of to Hogsmeade.
Unfortunately, there weren't any shops that interested Ollie. At least non of the shops that he had passed by. Maybe the shops that are interesting are somewhere off. Who would know about it other than students or even villagers who had been there longer the him. The bad side again: he does not know anyone at Hogsmeade. Sucks for him then.
Somewhere on a bench, he notice a girl. Ollie thought that maybe she would know a place he could go to but when he was close enough to her, he saw her crying and Ollie was confused and mad at the same time. Why might you ask? Well, he didn't think that it's right for someone to make another person cry. If the girl was his friend, he would be terribly mad at the person who had done this to the girl.
Ollie's thoughts of exploring had disappeared. "You alright?" he asked her softly. Ollie, as you know already, is not much of talker. He barely speaks but he couldn't' stand it when he sees people that are just sad or who looks like they've been hurt. Who are responsible for all this? Other people.
Nessa looked up and saw a boy. He looked nice, and had a very soft voice.
"You alright?" The boy asked softly. Nessa shrugged. She wiped her face with a kleenex she had in her pocket, and looked to the boy. "Yeah i guess." She bit her lip, this was always a public thing, she just could not seem to keep from crying. "I'm sorry." She said pushing her lips together. "You don't need to worry about me. But you may sit down if you'd like." Nessa said pulling her purse onto her lap, giving this boy room. "Oh, the names Nessa." Nessa said quietly. She smiled to the boy. He seemed nice to just stop for her and ask if she was ok. Nessa knew that most people saw her and then just thought she was crazy or something.
Nessa put the picture back in her purse and wiped away more at her eyes. She must look terrible right now. She felt sorry for this boy, she was probably keeping him from something he needed to be doing. But she kept her mouth shut.

Ollie frowned. He knew that she was not alright. She was just saying that to make his stop worrying about her but no. He was not convince. How could one say that they're alright when you could see that in their face they're crying and that in their eyes, the answers are hidden. Ollie knew that there is something more to that but he could not force the girl to tell him what.
"I'm sorry."
Ollie shook his head. No, why should she be sorry for crying. Why should she be sorry for showing her emotions? She shouldn't, Ollie knew that and he was okay for her to just cry it out. He knew that there is nothing much he could do to help but if she wanted to just cry, then she could.
Ollie pulled something out of his pocket. It was a handkerchief and he handed it to her. If she wanted to, she could just use it to wipe her tears. But if she doesn't want to, Ollie is okay with that to. He didn't want to trouble her or anything.
"Oh, the names Nessa."
The girl said later on and Ollie nodded at her and said "Oliver" softly again before looking around him then back at her. He caught her putting a picture? back at her purse and he raised his eyebrows. Is this whole problem because of a boy? Did he cheat on her? Beat her up or what? Ollie was not sure. He wanted to help her but knew no ways how.
Ok so Oliver was his name. He seemed like a kind of nice boy. She felt bad if she rained on his parade or anything. Nessa just had to suck it up. She was way too emotional. She took the hankie thankfully "Thanks" Nessa smiled to him as she wiped her eyes. She clenched the hankie in her hand and sat biting her lower lip. She could tell he was quiet and that was alright, that was what her personality was becoming, and she needed someone just to be quiet. Whenever she talked to someone like that, she felt like they left an impact on her when they would walk away. She shrugged to herself. Brayden ran through her head. She shook her head. She had to stop this, she tried to think of other thoughts. This was working alright but the picture that she had just put back in her purse kept running through her head.
Nessa had felt terrible, on the inside and outside. She had a headache, and was all achy from not doing much recently. Her eyes were always puffy from always crying. She was also achy on the inside. Nessa took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She closed her eyes momentarily.

Ollie just nodded as the girl named Nessa thanked him. It was quite alright. He hope that soon, she would feel much better. The only thing is, Ollie was sure that soon would not come that close. If it is a boy problem that she has, then it would probably take a long time. Hopefully the girl would somehow feel better.
Ollie looked at the girl. Of course she was having her moments right now. He knew that she needed to get herself together. He knew that she needed some help of some sort to make her feel better but he doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know what to say to her to make her feel alright.
Ollie looked around him and back at the girl, she is most likely trying to calm herself, from what it looks like with her closing her eyes and the whole taking a deep breathe thing but Ollie wasn't sure. Oliver sat down next to her, although he didn't know what to do and patted her back, as if to say 'im sorry'. He guess that he really want her to feel much better and even though it felt awkward to him, just sitting there, he knew that maybe patting her would help, somehow.
Nessa opened her eyes. There was a long silence between them. But Nessa now liked silence. She loved it when people could almost talk to each other without really talking. Just by looking at each other certain ways, or the ways they acted. It felt like a nicer conversation. She smiled, well she thought she did anyways.
Oliver was now sitting by her and he patted her back. She smiled. She could tell he did not know what to do and was trying so hard to cheer her up. She let out a small laugh. Well it was working in a twisted way. "You know, it's ok. This must be awkward." She looked to him. Well at least it kind of broke the ice between them. "And I thank you. You did make me cheer up. In some sort of way." She smiled to him. She felt better. And took one last deep breath.
"You see it was a boy." She randomly said. This was more than she usually told, or even let people into her. If you'd put it that way. She took out the picture of her and Brayden and showed it to him. She left it like that. Without saying a word more. She hoped Oliver would understand.

Ollie was confused by her laughter. Is it suppose to mean that she's thankful, a laugh of appreciation or a laughter about something else? Oliver could not tell. He could not read the minds of people. They could not read his either. If there was some way to do that, it would be both a good thing and a bad thing. You wouldn't want people reading your mind all the time would you?
"You know, it's ok. This must be awkward." was the next thing that Nessa said. How did she know? Ollie was not so sure. Maybe it just seems to her that he feels that way and Ollie was glad that she understood. At least, she knew that he was making some effort. Ollie smiled at Nessa, meaning thank you. He was glad to help out.
"You see it was a boy." He knew it. Or at least some part of it. It could be about anything but that was his first guess and he was right. What did the boy do now? The guy, whoever he is, must have done something so horrible. How could one guy just do it. He's a jerk for leaving her like that. But then again, he does not know the guy. It could be anyone but still...how could a guy just do that.
Oliver waited for a second to think then Nessa showed him what she was holding earlier. It was a picture of her and a dude he does not know. They look happy together. What happened to them? They just broke up? But why? Ollie does not know and he wondered what had happened. Does she still like him? From the crying it seems like it. It seems that he left her with a broken heart? But does he still feel the same way for her? If he does, Ollie suggests that the guy just win her back. If he still feels the way he did, they should be brought together.
Ollie looked hard at the picture then back at Nessa. What could he do? He does not know. He wanted to help her but how? He didn't even know what to say to her.
"You still like him." he said to her. Of course he wasn't 100% sure about that.
Nessa smiled. It was silent, throughout everything. Then he looked at the picture. He seemed to understand. "Yeah. I guess." Why did she still have to love everything about him? She sighed. She could tell he tried to help, and she could see how that could be very awkward. Nessa bit her lower lip. Another tear bulged, but she did not blink, therefore not letting it out. Why did love have to be so complicated and hard.

Ollie once again nodded. Nodding is the only thing he seem to be able to do the most. That is a sad thing though, losing someone you love. Of course it isn't like this thing had happened to him. Sure, he've never met his parents before. Sure he doesn't know them but what Nessa is experiencing is probably both somehow the same and different at the same time.
Ollie looked up at the sky and back at her. Hopefully the guy does love her back or at least take her if he feels the way he did. He guess that if two people love each other they should be together and that nothing should get in their way. Like no force should block them from feeling the way they do towards each other.
Love is just weird, thought Ollie. But it isn't like weird weird. It's complicated. But what does he know anyway? "Does he still like you?" Ollie asked her although he wasn't sure how she is going to respond. What if what he just said would hurt her. Dumb move Oliver. Now you're just going to make her cry, he thought to himself and put his head on his hand. What a dumb question to ask. He's suppose to make her feel better and all that and stop reminding her of things that would only hurt her. Gosh.
Nessa had been thinking. She needed to talk to him. She still loved him, but did he love her? That is what he asked. She could tell that he felt bad for asking it now, and she grinned, it was cute the way he did not know what to do. She thought it was funny how guys never knew if what they did was right or not. "Well that's the thing. I don't know." Nessa sighed. She needed to find out. This talk with him was actually working out. She was feeling better just by talking about it. Nessa bit her lower lip. She made a plan to send him an owl and say that she was sorry.
Nessa hated the mess she had gotten herself into, and needed to get herself out. She was going to. If only she her heart were stronger. She could not take so much.

Ollie lifted up his head as he heard her answer. That was the thing too, she does not know. How is that. Maybe they could have a person on the look out or something to help her find out whether he feels the way he did the same as right now.
Again, why did they split up? Ollie wasn't so sure and he knew that it would not be appropriate to ask that. Maybe he could just occupy himself if he thinks of something else to say to her. Something that might somehow help her but what?
That is always the question. What. What could he do? He doesn't know and it wasn't like there is a book telling people 'what to do in blah blah blah'. Ollie just wanted to help but he does not know how to be honest. "Hmm..." he said to himself. "Maybe you should meet him up and talk" he told her. That might be good, just for Nessa and the dude to talk together. Of course in a place where they could just talk and not be distracted with things around them. Maybe if they talk, they could sort things out.
Ollie truly wanted to help.
