Wands do, indeed, tend to reflect their owner’s qualities and attitudes in a way. Just as Tonk’s own wand does to her, it’s bright and optimistic thirteen inches of pale pink ivory seem to just bubble over with excitement as she herself does often. But Tonks, as anyone who’d fought with her knows, is tough and dependable in a fix. So is her wand. It’s core being that of a dragon’s heart-string, of course it’s dependable. Dragons, although vicious and sometimes unpredictable, are extremely strong and can push on forever it seems. In retrospect, it’s really the best choice for Tonks after all, with her past as an Auror and the future she hopes for possibly as a teacher of some sort.Physical Description:
Tonk’s pale, heart-shaped face, twinkling black eyes, and trim, edging on toned, figure are the only things that she declines to change about her appearance- unless she’s in need of a major disguise. Although, Tonks usually doesn’t retain her natural height of 5’ 3” and likes to add on a few inches to “even everything out.” Unlike most females, Tonks loves the way she looks for the most part and doesn’t care to change it even since she can. Her hair color is constantly changing even still and it’s not unusual for her to change colors and styles daily. Recently she’s been favoring a close-cropped pixie-cut, with her normal mousey-brown hair color. Although she does like to mix it up every week or so and add a random color to the style. Usually a bright purple, blue, or her old-time favorite: bubble-gum pink, but when she’s feeling shy or nervous, which she rarely is, she’s all for her natural mousey-brown.Personality:
When in the wizarding world, Tonk’s clothing is the cutting edge of fashion, sleek, trim-cut robes and all matters of random accessories added give her a flashy look- if her hair didn’t already do as such. But in the muggle-world (or just on her days off), even now she leans more towards the punkish style. Of course she’s not a full out punk, no, that would seem strange, a 35 year old punk. No, she’s just more into the dark jeans and Weird Sisters Tees that we all know and love. Oh, and don’t forget the well-worn and almost completely trashed sneakers that are her absolute favorite shoe-style, one can never forget those.
Even with the years that had gone by since the great battle, Tonks could only be described as over-optimistic. She’s still able to find the bright side of things even in the bleakest of situations, though now she tends to keep the random blurbs of optimism to herself when she judges that no one needs to hear them. A much more compassionate and understanding person now than she was as a young woman, she still carries her usual sense of fun and enthusiasm everywhere she goes. Her smile could be described as infectious at times and she does her best to make everyone else smile with her. Much calmer than she was back then, she’s usually much more serious, but her goofy personality still lingers and she loves to be her not-so-serious self around those she knows will enjoy it.Family:
Tonks has, to put it into perspective, a strange sense of humor. Not even close to the Weasely twins’ back when, she has her own personal touch that tends to confuse those not familiar to her attitude. It once was said that she had an “inability to behave herself”; well, maybe that was true when she was a girl, but now-a-days, Tonks can handle herself extremely well for a previous-prankster. Although, her friends should still be wary, for Tonks hasn’t let her new-found maturity get in the way of her pranks. Some find her constant good mood annoying, but she never lets that phase her, she can always tease a smile from the sourest of lips by distorting her appearance.
The first time one meets Tonks is unforgettable, no matter how much you want it forgotten. Ever-clumsy and slightly eccentric, Tonks seems at times that she couldn’t be serious if her life depended on it. A big mistake to assume as such though, Tonks can be dead serious when needed; Don’t get me wrong, Tonks can still goof off with the best of them, as long as she’s not in a room full of students of course. She’s got a reputation to consider. . . not that she cares much.
Still in love with flying, she adores her old Comet 260 and treats it like it were her child. She’s slightly over-protective and a tad obsessed, but she’s good natured and quick to forgive any mishaps on anyone’s part. She’s also the first to start laughing if she messes up or does something stupid or clutzy, even when no one would notice if she hadn’t begun laughing, she does anyway. Just another little something to say for Tonk’s sense of humor.
She is the daughter of now deceased Theodore Tonks and Andromeda Black Tonks. Therefore, she was the niece of Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy, also the first cousin of Sirius Black. The Black line (excluding Sirius of course) refused to claim Tonks as a descendant and, in fact, had extinguished Andromeda from their family tree when she married Tonk’s father. Happy not to be trapped in the Black family’s hateful fantasism of pureblood rule, Tonks is herself a half-blood and considers all wizarding families equal.History:
{{I apologize, history has yet to be finished, will finish as soon as school, work and life allows. My apologies, my apologies}}Other:
If you didn’t already know, she’s a Metamorphmagus, which mean that she can change her hair, eye, skin color and any other aspect of her physical appearance at will;
Also, Tonks is wishing to apply for a teaching job, the position of Dueling Tactics Professor in fact. Having retired early from being an Auror, she found that she loves to teach and would do anything to do so in Trio’s University.
