Steal the night until the sun washes the sky.
She watched the city wake from it's slumber. People getting up and preparing themselves for another day. As the yesterday gets forgotten, new day raises it's head. The cold air still shivered the early morning walkers but there was something in the air which gave them hope. Spring was coming. The sun was the first sign. Slowly but surely the spring would hit this city.
The window thankfully blocked most of the noises coming from outside as the busy city of London started to gather it's strenght.
The only thing what she heard, was the humming of her head. Not that crazy humming but as her thoughts rambled on, they made a sort of odd noise. This might be only her imagining things, but who cared?
From the safefty of her apartment, she watched the sun rise in the horizon. It was going to be a nice day. The cold stained glass pressed against her pale forehead and she let out a sigh, making the glass go foggy. Surely, she wasn't going to spend all her day inside? Maybe the bitter air would clear her foggy mind like that stained glass. But thanks to her screwed up sleeping routine, she was tired and unwilling to do anything.
Welcome to the real world said an voice in her head.
This was her life now.
Constant tiredness swept over her no matter how long would she sleep.
Her eyes turned away from the window around her apartment. It was a mess yes, and sooner or later she would have to clean everything up. Papers from work were mixed to her own notes. They needed to be sorted.
This, frustrated her and she shook her head. Fresh air was what she needed.
Normally the Alley wouldn't be her first choice to come, but she had to admit that the window shopping here was the greatest past time killers. Her eyes wandered around the street, spotting young students and people. But even though, window shopping was fun, you get bored if it soon enough.
The cold air brought cold wind and made her shiver. Her jacket was not helping at all. She stood near by a corner and just stared front if her. Not sure, who was she waiting or looking at.
