well, isn't it a different world;

I don't really know if I can explain my first week here in any form of coherent detail. It's the stuff out of fairytales, or certainly out of fantasy novels. It's like I'm living in the Lord of the Rings, or Narnia, but like, The Magician's Nephew kind of thing, because I'm sure I started out normal. There were no talking animals before. Now there's Professor's that are Hawks and can change backwards and forwards at will, and the people in the portraits will follow you around, and food appears magically, and, and, oh, i don't know. It's all a little too much for me.

It's not bad though. It's just really really different. It's not something I can get used to just like that. I've met a few good people though; there's Holly, from the Three Broomsticks, and Chelsea, who helped me when I got lost, and there was a nice girl Charlotte from this really cool room - it's called the MER and it's where all the muggle technologies work. I'm so glad I found it, it's like living in medieval times or something without it, and it allows me to keep in touch with Michael. Thank God. I missed him so, so much.

I don't know how I'm ever going to get used to it here, but it's not so bad, just different. I'm already behind in my classes, just for being born the way I was, so now I'm going to have to go and borrow the biggest textbook known to man in the library so I can figure out the basics of wizarding history. I'm sure Queety will help me if I have any questions though, maybe I'll go see her before hand? I should get to bed though, early start tomorrow.

routine makes life easy;

It's kind of like a rollercoaster of emotion, thats the only way I can describe it. I go from being happy to being homesick, from proud to nervous. It's all just a chaotic mess of magic really, and I don't know if it is ever going to change. I miss home so, so, so much. It just hurts. Everything would be fine if I had dad or Michael here with me, it would make life so good. It wont happen though. Michael isn't going to become magical overnight, I know that. I just want to tell him though. I hate all these secrets. I mean, I love him, he's always been there. Now there is just this void. It isn't really fair.

Routine though makes it easier I suppose. Classes scare me like nothing else, but its getting easier. I even have people I sit with now. Remember Holly and Chelsea? Yeah, they are both in all my classes, so I sit with one or the other of them when I get a chance. Plus there is this boy Danny who was really fun. He makes everything interesting. We even ventured into the dark forest together. Not sure if I'll be doing that again in a hurry.

I guess what I mean to say is, it's not that bad here diary. I actually kind of love it, most of the time at least. It's just, it's not home, and thats just the hardest part to get over.
