Name: Everley Jayne Grey (Friends call her Ever for short)
Birthday: September 9th 2005
Gender: Female
Magical Background: Muggle
Wand: Oak, Phoenix Feather, 12 inches, Strong
Appearance: Everley is quite short and petite for a girl of 11. Her pale skin compliments her dark brown hair as it frames around her face and sits above her shoulders. Everley has piercing hazel eyes that have a flick of green in them that shine like a golden light shining over a crisp autumn meadow. Her hair is usually wavy throughout the mornings but tends to straighten up throughout the day and stretches just past her shoulders giving her the opportunity to twirl her hair around with her fingers.
Her dainty frame means that all clothes fit perfectly and no matter what it always looks good on her; much to her friends dismay.
Everley's ideal outfit to wear when not wearing school robes would be a striped cropped t shirt with skinny jeans, dark shades and a good old pair of converse.
Personality: Everley sees the best in every situation. It's a trait she has got from her Mother. Everley lives with her Mother and three brothers and they live in a small house in London. Her Father left them when she was five years old so her Mother has two jobs to put food on the table.
Everley loves to laugh. So much so that her cheeky bones often ache from laughing. As her Mother worked most night and days, Ever and her brothers often had to keep themselves entertained so they often go on adventures to new lands. Granted, most of these adventures only went as far as the local park or the seaside but they were grand voyages none the less to Everley.
She is very confident in herself and believes that hard work and determination is the way to getting the things in life you want. Growing up with three older brothers that most of the time got what they wanted before she even got a look in, Everley had to fend for herself most of the time but she never lost hope that one day, she would get the look in she needed.
Everley's compassion and kindness is one of her most admirable qualities. She is brave and courageous and always looks out for those she loves. Adventurous, determined and fearless Everley is quick to decide what to do in most situation and acts on her feelings without hesitation although sometimes this doesn't always prove to be the best idea.
Family:
Father: Matthew Grey
Mother: Libby Grey
Brothers: Daniel, Eric and Lewis
History: Everley's Mother and Father married very young straight out of school. They moved into a small two bedroom house that just about fit all their furniture in (although it was a bit snug). Not long after 3 months of marriage, Libby became pregnant with two boys (Daniel and Eric) and they could not have been any happier. Her Father, Matthew, now having two more mouths to feed needed to work to ensure they had somewhere for the twins to grow up but struggled to find work that didn't involve him having to lift a finger. Although not a lazy man, Matthew lacked determination to succeed in his career and refused to start from the bottom and work his way up. Pride eventually became his downfall.
After the twins were born and without any career prospects, Matthew had to start a filing job at the local bank to put food on the table. As the years passed, another baby boy came along called Lewis. Matthew was content but couldn't help but feel as if his life were passing by. He loathed his job and sometimes his homelife with a passion and fought daily with a desire to be selfish and start a new life where he only had himself to depend on but for the sake of his wife and the three boys, he kept filing.
Libby loved the boys and wouldn't change them for the world, but she couldn't help but think her life just wasn't complete. Nine months later, that void was complete and Everley was born into the world with the most piercing eyes that cut deep into the soul. Libby's life was complete. Or so she thought...
Five years later, Matthew left in the middle of the night leaving nothing but a letter to Libby under the door. Libby was inconsolable for years to come but determined to not let this effect her children's, she deceived them into thinking he left to join the Army to fight for his country and that's why he couldn't come home. Libby took up a two jobs to keep the family afloat.
Her Mother was very surprised of course when she received her Hogwarts letter as most Muggles would be. Everley could not contain her excitement at the thought of this new adventure to a world unknown but couldn't help feel as if she was loosing her home.
With a kiss goodbye from her Mother and a promise she would always have a home with her, Everley left for Hogwarts in search of a true adventure.
