Max looked around. The looming trees surrounding her were unusually inviting to the young lycanness. She took a deep breath. The last time she had stepped into the Forbidden Forest she hurt -almost killed- someone. She shuddered as she thought of it. She didn't like the way she had left the forest, so she resolved to fix it herself. She wasn't going to bring the boy she almost killed back to that place, so she went on her own.
Max left her dormitory only ten minutes earlier with her brown sweater over her shoulders and her small bag on her back. She left the School not too far behind her as she stood in front of the Forbidden Forest. She took a deep breath and went step by step out into the forest. It was in the middle of Fall, so the ground was covered with multicolored leaves and with every breeze more fell around her like it was a hurricane of colors. She marvelled at the beauty. Her depression was taken over by awe. She forgot how... Magical the world looked when it was at it's best. She walked slowly through the Forest, taking in everything around her. She spied her favorite place. The willow tree she found her first year of Hogwarts.
Max walked over to it and looked up. There was still a mark in the tree where her friend Tim and her swore they'd stay friends. She smiled at all the memories the place withheld. She could think of the many times that she had been underneath or on the limbs of the tree. She knew in that moment what she was going to do. She walked up to it and went up in footholds that she found not three years ago and sat down on a tree branch where she could watch the forest but at the same time lean back and be comfortable.
Max slipped off her bag and pulled on the strings to open it up and pulled out her notebook, a phoenix feather and some ink. She began to jot down all of the things that had happened at that tree, what her surroundings looked like, and how much her life had changed since she began to live in Trio's Hogwarts. She was so deep into her writing that she didn't even hear the footsteps her enhanced hearing allowed her to hear. She didn't see him approach her location nor did she look up from her writing. It was as if she was dead to the world, but it would not last long.[/color]
