"Yeah, you're probably right." Max said. She thought for a moment, then looked up at him. "Do you think this water could heal emotional wounds too?" she was curious, but mostly hopeful. If it could heal physical wounds, could it heal her emotional problems too? She was thinking that over when she followed Malachi out of the hidden pool. All at once a tree appeared over the entrance. She was shocked.
"What the thank...?" Max shook her head, as if she had been dreaming. "That was weird." she said. She watched Malachi go back and forth on how they found it. His logic made sense. She was following what he said until he decided to pull out his Jack Skelington pocket knife. That's when she was lost. "What are you doing Mallie?" she asked. She watched him slice himself open. She reeled at the smell of the blood. She shook her head. She wasn't a big fan of blood even though she was a werewolf and usually ate her meals alive.
Max was shocked when the tree shook and opened up once again. "Good thinking." she said. "You've got a hell of a mind up there." she said. "Are you a Ravenclaw in disguise?" she smiled. She thought that if he was right about the entrance the first time that she thought she should search the tree for an incantation as well. She felt around upon the tree, coming up empty. "You know, if it only takes in hurt people I won't be able to get in without you." she said idly.
"You know, I was thinking about what you said, maybe it can heal emotional wounds, or at least calm you.", he said, feeling the tree, finally feeling something engraved. "Hey, I found something.", he said and bit his lip, looking at an engraved word. "Apriro Questo Albero", he pronounced, the tree opening again. "It's italian. Open this tree, is what it means.", he said and smiled. "My whole mother side were ravenclaws, and my father was part italian.", he chuckled. "Wow. I wonder if close in italian would work to close it.", he said and bit his lip. "Serrato.", he whispered, the tree going back to normal.
Max could feel the angst growing within her as Malachi said that it could maybe heal her. She looked up at the tree. "Maybe I should bring my brother here." She said, thinking of her sweet but demented brother. "Not like he'd like to part with..." she muttered off to herself. She looked up as Malachi found something. She walked over to stand beside him as he recited the password. He said that it was Italian, and spoke of how he knew. "Wow, really? I didn't know you spoke Italian." she smiled. He was full of information. Then she got an idea.
"Well, lets see if it'll take my atrotious accent." Max said. She looked up at the tree once again. "Apriro Questo Albero," she stated clearly. It sounded very little like Mallie's. The tree didn't move. She laughed at herself. "Wow, I guess it doesn't like my accent much, does it?" she asked. Then she got an idea. "Hey, do you think it would listen to french?" she asked. "My fake father taught us all French because France was his home." she was disgusted by why she knew french, but she wasn't regretful. "He wasn't a big fan of Italian." she shrugged. She looked over at him. "Mind if I try it?" She looked at the tree, cleared her throat, and recited the same phrase, except in French. "Ouvrir l'arbre," she said.
Malachi looked at her when she spoke of her brother, a smile fading from his face as he looked back at the tree, seeing it didn't open when she said it. "You have to roll your tongue at the end usually.", he grinned and then stepped back. "Maybe french will work.", he said, letting her say a line, then watching to see if it would open...
Max looked over at him with a smile on her face. "I can try again, but i doubt it'll work." she said. She saw him step back. It deterred her for just a moment, then she looked back at the tree. After she had spoken the words, the tree began to rustle. It then opened. "Hmmm, that's weird. Maybe it takes languages that still have parts of latin in them." she said. She knew the english language had been changed around and meshed with other languages until it became it's own language, so the ancient language was probably the key. It was of course a guess so she couldn't prove it right. She knew no other languages. She smiled. She was glad she learned one other language besides english.
Max looked over at Mallie. "It looks like we can both get into this place." she smiled. That was good. They were now even closer friends than before thanks to the secret they could share. "Should we make a pact to keep this place a secret between us?" she asked. "We could always add people to our group of people allowed to go in here." she said.
"Okay, lets make a pact. You can let Aiden in and when I get with someone, she will be aloud, and I will not tell.", he smiled, holding out his hand for her to shake on the pact.
Max nodded. "Sounds good to me." she said, shaking his hand. "You know, I remember making a similar pact like this with my brother, only him and... I mean he decided to prick both of our fingers so it was a blood pact." she smiled at the memory. She let his hand go and her own hand dropped. "So, the pact is set, and we can't break it or..." she thought for a moment. "We'll have to be a slave to the other for a whole month!" she laughed. It was the best she could come up with. There had to be consequences, or what was to stop them from flaunting it off in front of everyone?
"You want to make a blood oath?", he asked and grinned, shaking her hand. Then he noticed that fluffy was gone. He whistled, fluffy coming back to them. "Maybe we can just say...I know something you dont knowwww!", he grinned.
Max laughed. "We don't have to make a blood oath." she said. "And besides, if our blood mixed, well I'm not sure you'd like the outcome much." she said. "Shaking hands might just be the best way to go." she smiled. "unless you can think of another way." she shrugged. She focused on his voice when he whistled. She then saw Fluffy come up beside her. Silly Fluffy. She laughed. "You know, I think I like that idea as well."
"You should do it to Aiden, and see if he tries to talk it out of you.", he smiled, not really knowing this Aiden kid. But if he was with this girl, he had to be cool.
Max smiled. "Yeah, that'd be fun." she said. She could picture it now; Aiden getting all frustrated 'I know something you don't know!'[Maxy] 'What is it?'[Aiden] 'I can't tell you!' 'Why not?' 'It's a secret!' 'I gotta know!' 'I'd be breaking an oath!' 'Fine!' he'd turn away and pretend to be angry. 'Oh, fine.' she'd say. He'd turn back all happy like and she'd give him a kiss and tell him. Then she'd fill him in with the joke. He'd laugh along too, and they'd be in good spirits. Such is the way of Maxy&&Aiden. "I can't wait for you to meet him. You guys would get along great, if you're careful around Horatio." she said.
Malachi looked at her as she stared off into space. He raised his eyebrow, thinking that she must have been daydreaming of the event or something. "Horatio?", he asked with a smile. "Whats that?"
[sorry. it's weird asking what it is when im rping in a thread with aiden and h right now. haha.]
Max turned back to Malachi just quick enough to see him looking at her funny. She did it again. She laughed silently at herself. How goofy could she get? He then asked about Horatio. "Oh, Horatio is his cat." she said. "He's very territorial with Aiden." she said. "Well, and me too. He's sillly like that." she smiled.
"Aw, really? I love cats. I have my own at home. He's a siemese cat named Monster.", he chuckled, halfly at the name of his cat. His mother helped him name it. When they got it, the cat started attacking anything smaller than it, that moved. Since then, they called it monster. But ironically, Monster is a big scaredy cat.
"Yeah, I love cats too." Max said. "You have a cat too?" she said. She chuckled at Mallie's cat's name. "Monster, huh? Is he a big bully to the cats of the neighborhood?" she asked, curious. She had always loved cats. Horatio was the first cat she ever knew, though. "It's kind of funny." she started. "I'm a Lycan, but all cats adore me, and it was likewise on my part. I could never understand the attraction." she chuckled. "Technically I'm a dog, so dogs and cats being friends is just the oddest thing."
Malachi chuckled at her words. "I think its because your not really a dog, Max.", he chuckled. "You just happen to be able to take a form of one. I think it's that cats can sense your not like other people.", he smirked. "They're smart like that."
Thinking about his own cat, a smirk widened on his face. "Monster is a big scaredy-cat, and is always in the house, never out. He'll chase things smaller than him.", he chuckled.
Max smiled. She liked the way he saw things. "Good point." she said. "You know, you've got a really unique way of looking at things." she said. "You sure you're not a Ravenclaw?" she asked. She was just being silly like usual, but she thought he was brilliant for being able to figure that out on such short notice.
Max laughed. "Wow, he sounds like a funny cat." she said. "A cat named Monster but he's a scardy cat!" she smlied. "How redundant. I love it!" she smiled. "But he's a bully to smaller things." she said, thinking it over. "What a curious cat." she said. "Does Monster like your deathdolls?" she asked. She knew Horatio would be extra curious about Fluffy when they first meet, but after a while, she wondered if he'd like Fluffy. She made a mental note to Impervious the bunny to keep it safe.
Max laughed. "Pillows, huh?"she smiled. "I guess he's never met an enchanted bunny like Fluffy then." she said. "I'm not sure he'd enjoy Fluffy much." she said. She wondered what Monster was like, and how he'd react to Fluffy's silly ways. She smiled as Mallie caught on to her joke. "Ok, then. Just making sure." she said. "So, Mallie, what shall we do now?" she asked. "Explore some more, or head off to bed and meet up tomorrow to explore something else?" she asked. She was leaving what they did next up to Mallie because she chose to explore, which resulted in the Healing pool.
Malachi chuckled. "A bunny bigger than my cat? He'd run away with his tail between his legs.", he smirked and walked on with the girl, fluffy behind. "If you want to explore we can. But if not, we can go and maybe we could meet tomorrow or something."
